Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 August 2026
By using MagicRemover (magicremover.org) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. They apply to everyone who visits the site, whether or not you create an account.
The service
MagicRemover provides AI inpainting tools that remove objects, people, text, watermarks and other overlays from images, plus a tool that removes subtitles and on-screen text from video. The service is provided on an as-is basis. We make no guarantee that any particular removal will succeed or that a result will meet your expectations — generative models are probabilistic, and difficult backgrounds sometimes simply do not rebuild cleanly.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload images you do not own or otherwise have the right to modify
- Use the service to infringe anyone's copyright or other intellectual property rights
- Remove a watermark from an image you have not licensed
- Remove or alter a trademark in order to misrepresent a product's origin or imply an endorsement that does not exist
- Upload child sexual abuse material or any other unlawful content
- Edit images in order to fabricate evidence or deceive in a way that causes harm
- Upload images of real people in a way that violates their privacy or dignity, or to harass them
- Scrape, reverse-engineer or otherwise abuse the API, or use automated scripts to get around rate limits
We may suspend or terminate access for any of the above, without notice where the breach is serious.
Copyright and trademarks
MagicRemover is intended for images you own or have the right to edit. Removing a watermark from a stock photo, agency image, or anything else you have not licensed is likely to be copyright infringement.
Stripping copyright management information — the credit line, the © notice, the embedded metadata identifying the rights holder — can be a distinct violation on its own, separate from infringing the image itself. In the United States that is 17 U.S.C. § 1202, and it carries statutory damages. Several other jurisdictions have equivalent provisions.
Trademarks work differently again. A logo is frequently a registered mark, and trademark law protects against confusion about where a product comes from, not just against copying. Removing a mark to disguise what an item is, or to imply a relationship that does not exist, can be unlawful even where copyright is not engaged at all.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with copyright and trademark law and with any licence attached to the images you upload. We accept no liability for unauthorised removal of copyright management information. If you believe content processed through this service infringes your rights, contact us with enough detail to identify the work and we will act on a valid notice.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited, temporary licence to process that file for the sole purpose of performing the edit you asked for, including passing it to the processors listed in the Privacy Policy. We claim no ownership of your content and do not use it for anything else.
Free tier, credits and refunds
Guests receive 2 free removes per rolling 24 hours per device. Signing in provides a separate allowance of 2 per day per account. Free allowances are also subject to per-network limits so that one user cannot exhaust the capacity for everyone else. There is no welcome bonus.
Credits are used for the credit-based tools, currently video subtitle removal. Credits do not expire. Video jobs are charged only on success; a failed job is refunded automatically. Beyond that, refunds for unused credits are available on request within a reasonable period — write to us and we will sort it out.
We may change the size of the free allowance at any time. If we do, the numbers shown on the site are the ones in force.
Accounts
You may sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account — tell us immediately if you think it has been compromised. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output will meet your expectations.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MagicRemover and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or damage to reputation. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes and termination
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may also update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. You can stop using the service, and ask us to delete your account, at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction, at our election, save where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
